Work in Studio

Adding some detail to the painting - inside. This is the result of 3 hours painting after the initial version done outside on location. The photo is a little crooked and some of the painting is, too.

Plein Aire Painting

Today was the perfect day to get outside and paint. It was sunny, breezy and almost 70 degrees. So, I packed up my travel easel and oil paints and headed to a friend's picturesque house. Spent about 1.5 hours getting in the rough shapes, enough to finish inside with a good reference photo.
